I love to encourage others to connect with and feel at ease in their bodies, to become wholly present, and to tap into the potential of their expansive and creative minds.
I have over 25 years of experience as a Yoga/Meditation teacher. My initial training was through a two-year course with IYTA, and then subsequently, a further three years to become a Yoga Therapist with YTA. This was a wonderful experience with traditionally based teachers, through the Krishnamacharya lineage, and culminating in the heart of Yoga, India. Throughout this time I have been consistently offering classes in the community, teaching in schools, workplaces and running retreats. I also offer individual Yoga Therapy and create ongoing practice plans for clients.
Another of my passions is art. I have a long-standing art practice—art school, a diploma in art and design, as well as working creatively on set for films and music videos. More recently, my practice has involved painting in acrylic and water colour and extending my meditations into creating mandalas. On my retreats I really enjoy being able to include some fun and freeing art practices and painting into the program… everyone is an artist!
I am excited to be adding sound into my offerings. The power of sound vibration is an expanding field, being used in many areas of healing. The instruments I use are spirit flutes, drum, chimes and some beautiful, crystal quartz sound bowls!! The vibrations of these bowls are something to be experienced.
All in all, to me the below quote sums up the potential of Yoga.
“The power of the universe will come to your assistance if your heart and mind are in Unity’. Lakota saying
